Tenanted Property Owners
SunEx’s Roof Rental Solution for Tenanted Property Owners
SunEx is offering tenanted property owners the opportunity to rent out their rooftop space and, in return, receive a fixed monthly rental income for up to 20 years, which will increase the value of the property.
At the same time, tenants benefit from reliable, cleaner and cheaper electricity.
How the Roof Rental Solution Works
SunEx will (at no cost) evaluate the solar potential of your property and, if viable, will enter into a long-term rental agreement.
Once signed, SunEx will install solar and take on all the responsibilities and risks, including:
Installation and commissioning
System performance and monitoring
Maintenance and repairs
Insurance coverage
Billing and collections

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if my tenants move out?
The rental agreement amount will depend on occupancy levels. If occupancy drops significantly, the rental amount may be adjusted, as solar energy sales revenue would decrease.
Who handles maintenance and repairs of the solar system?
SunEx assumes full responsibility for all system maintenance, repairs, and replacements throughout the term.
What if the system doesn't produce enough electricity?
SunEx takes on the performance risk. Your rental income remains in place regardless of production levels.
Is there any cost to the property owner?
No — SunEx funds the entire project, from installation through to ongoing operations.
What happens at the end of the 20-year agreement?
You may choose to extend the agreement, purchase the system at a nominal value, or have SunEx remove it at no cost to you.
What if I sell the property during the contract period?
The agreement can be transferred to the new property owner, ensuring continuity of rental payments and tenant benefits.
Is my rental income fixed, or can it increase over time?
The rental amount will escalate annually.
